about camp
We are also aware of the pandemic risks, so we will ensure maximum safety and health for all camp participants. The main goal of KVEST organizators is to follow norms of WHO, the Ministry of Health and the guidelines for holding camps approved by the leadership of Plast in Ukraine.
KVEST – is an incredible 14-day opportunity for 54 boy and girl scouts from all over Ukraine and the world. This international PLAST Scouting Camp, prides itself on adhering to the principles of scouting. And yet, we constantly strive to provide unique and interactive programs for our campers that change yearly. We teach our children cartography, history, take trips through the Carpathian Mountains, go rock climbing, teach them wilderness cooking skills, meditation and so much more! Moreover, our Camp counselors founded the camp on the principle of playing sports and living a healthy, active life style. Through out the camp, we teach our campers how to play volleyball, soccer/football, handball, softball and many other sports.
One other, and major theme of KVEST, is teaching our campers to be eco-friendly. We do everything in our power to leave the least amount of a human footprint in the Carpathian Mountains. We us eco-friendly soaps, provide the children with bamboo toothbrushes, proper trash and recycling techniques, etc. Teaching our young campers the importance of being eco-friendly is very important to the development of our campers and the future of our planet.
This summer, KVEST 2022 will be in its 5th iteration and we are already preparing our program for this year’s campers. We hope that this year’s camp will have even more international campers than years past so that all 54 campers can experience their own unique quest at KVEST Camp. We aim to leave an incredible impression on our campers and hope that they’ll always want to return and experience KVEST.

we need your help

KVEST is run by men and women of varying ages. We greatly love our camp and volunteer our time to this great cause. There have been many instances where we have used our own money to ensure the success of the camp. The Ukrainian government has also caused many problems over the past year with regards to financial support of PLAST Camps all over Ukraine. Regardless of the lack of support from our government, we will do everything in our power to create the most successful camp for our attendees. This is why we are asking for your support and help in creating beautiful memories and experiences for our 54 campers.
Over the past year, we have already built a small community of volunteers who will provide us with some material support in order to see KVEST camp succeed. We view the support of KVEST as a win-win situation for our sponsors. The children receive gifts from our sponsors and we promote the sponsors on our banners, social media pages, etc. Most of all, the sponsor partakes in a great social project that helps children grow and provides them with stable and healthy childhoods.

The KVEST camp counselors consist of men and women aged 18-30. We volunteer our free time in order to create this epic children’s camp. Many us forgo our personal vacations in order to provide this camping experience for our children. We aim to teach, educate, and give back to the PLAST scouting community, which has given us so much when we ourselves were children. To plan KVEST, it takes about 10 months of work and preparation. Many times we have had to use our own money to make sure that this camp continued to run. That’s how dedicated we are and will continue to be in the future. We love PLAST, we love KVEST, and will do everything in our power to give back to our Ukrainian scouting community, both in Ukraine and abroad.
